Pablo Giménez
Pablo Giménez is a flamenco and classical guitarist who performs as a soloist, in chamber music ensembles and as an accompanist for flamenco dance and song. He is also the artistic director and guitarist of the Pablo Gimenez Spanish Ensemble flamenco company Corazon de Granada.
Giménez holds degrees in Classical Guitar and Flamenco Guitar from the Conservatory of Granada and the Conservatory of Córdoba respectively. Additionally, he has studied at Codarts Conservatory in Rotterdam, Holland, where he studied under guitarists David Martínez, Oscar Ghiglia and Paco Peña. Giménez performed his solo Spanish guitar repertoire at the Bruno Walter Auditorium at Lincoln Center in New York in 2016. The show, titled “Inspired by Flamenco,” has also been performed in China, Taiwan, Poland, Germany and Spain. In 2017, and he was awarded the Young Granada Prize for Art awarded by the Instituto Andaluz. That same year, he formed the trio Corazon de Granada, which made its world debut at the Kennedy Center in Washington DC. |

As a musical director, soloist and accompanist, he has worked on the shows “Flamenco: joven y jondo,” “De Guadix a Buenos Aires,” “Real de la Alhambra,” “Nefelibata” by choreographer and dancer Víctor Martín and “Alètheia” by choreographer and dancer Irene La Serranilla. In his original compositions, he combines flamenco music with orchestral instruments. He has composed for two cellos and guitar for the show “After the Storm” by Raúl Prieto and “Flamenco Suite” for two violins, cello and guitar at the João Pessoa International Classical Music Festival. In 2021, he created "Proyecto Cabala" for trumpet, guitar and two cellos that debuted at the XIX Festival de Musica Espanola de Cadiz.
In 2020, two of Gimenez's productions - "Variacion a tempo" and "Tablao Granadino" - were live streamed internationally by US based streaming platform Third Row as part of their Flamenco Festival. In 2022, Third Row also included Gimenez's production "En Tierras de Jerez" in their streamed programming from the Festival de Jerez.

- Dúo Giménez, Giménez and his father play as a guitar duo, and have performed in Spain, Italy, Sweden and Tunisia. In 2016, they recorded the album “De Profundis a lo Jondo,” a project that fuses religious compositions with flamenco song.
- Christine Moore, American soprano. Giménez recorded the album “Al-Andalus to the Americas: An Odyssey of Spanish Song” in 2013 and made his debut at Lincoln Center with Moore in 2014.
- Guest soloist with Guadix and Ave María Symphony orchestras, performing a variety of works, including the second movement of Joaquín Rodrigo’s Concierto de Aranjuez.
- Participation in the documentary film “Instrumental Places: The Granada Guitar.”
- Co-creation of the duet work "Variacion a tempo" with dancer and choreographer Sara Jimenez, which was streamed internationally by On Stage at Kingsborough and Third Row during the COVID shutdowns.
